Performance, Data & Decision-Making

15 years making elite football smarter. Helping organisations turn complex information into decisions that matter.

Clarity
in complexity.

I've spent over 15 years in professional football working across performance analysis, data, and technology. My work centres on translating complex information into clear, actionable insight — the kind that actually shapes decisions made by coaches, analysts, and leadership under real pressure.

I'm particularly interested in how data is applied when time is short, information is incomplete, and the margin for error is small. Those same principles — process, discipline, operating under uncertainty — extend well beyond football into markets, investing, and other high-performance disciplines.

My background spans playing and coaching as well as analysis — I understand how the game is experienced from inside it, not just from the data.

Where I add value.

01

Performance Analysis & Data

Designing metrics, workflows, and systems that turn raw data into practical insight — built around the real decisions coaches and staff need to make.

02

Technology & Systems

Helping teams adopt and integrate tools effectively within real-world environments — not just what the technology can do, but how it actually gets used.

03

Consultancy

Supporting businesses and organisations with data strategy and decision-making frameworks. Practical, grounded in experience, focused on outcomes.

04

Education & Communication

Breaking down complex ideas into clear, usable understanding for coaches and staff. Bridging the gap between what data says and what people can act on.

Work in practice.

Data Strategy

Improving decision-making through data

Designed and implemented workflows that translated complex datasets into clear, actionable insight for coaching staff — reducing noise and improving the speed and quality of decisions.

Coaching Integration

Bridging data and coaching

Worked closely with coaching teams to ensure data outputs were aligned with real-world match preparation and decision-making — not what was analytically interesting, but what was practically useful.

Focus Stakeholder alignment · Presentation design · Applied insight

What I'm
thinking about.

These areas look different on the surface. The underlying principles — process, discipline, operating under uncertainty — are the same.

Writing on these topics coming soon.

01

Data & decision-making in elite sport

How information gets used — and misused — when stakes are high and time is short.

02

Options trading, investing & risk

Markets as a proving ground for probabilistic thinking, process, and managing uncertainty.

03

High-performance environments

What separates teams and organisations that consistently perform from those that occasionally do.

04

Golf & individual performance

The mental and technical discipline of an individual sport — and what it mirrors in professional environments.

In conversation.

Let's
talk.

If you're working on something interesting in football, data, or performance — I'd like to hear about it.
